Weekend Workout

This weekend I’ve got another cardio workout for you.  This is a workout that, although it’s simple, can be as difficult as you want to make it.  Here it is:

  • Run 1/4 Mile as fast as you can.
  • Rest 2-3 Minutes
  • Repeat 7 times.

Like I said, if you really want to make this workout difficult, you can.  The goal of this workout is to run faster than your average mile pace, in order to improve your speed.  Keep in mind though, that you should try to set a speed that you can maintain throughout your sets.  While the main goal is to run as fast as you can, the secondary goal is to maintain that speed throughout.  If you do this, and really push yourself, you will be very tired at the end of the workout.  Trust me, I just finished it and I look like I just got done swimming.  Get after it and get better this weekend.
