Fitness News and Views of the Week

Since you’re probably not getting much done while surfing the internet while on the job, here are some articles worth reading.  At least you’ll be learning something while avoiding that project due at the end of the week…

  • If you’re like me, you’re not really a big fan of energy drinks.  First and foremost, they taste like sh*t.  They’re also expensive.  But, most importantly, they’re really not that affective and loaded with caffeine.  Just as recommended, stick with natural food sources.
  • Most of you know I’m a pretty easy-going guy who doesn’t get stressed out very often.  I just don’t let a lot get to me.  But, there are plenty of people who lead very stressful lives.  I’ve always been an advocate of living stress-free, but I’ve now found some evidence that stressing is hazardous to your health.  That may sound obvious to some of you, but it is worth taking a look at.
  • Are you one of those people who keeps everything bottled up inside when you get angry?  Well, not anymore.  Research has shown that repressing negative thoughts can be detrimental to both mental and physical health.  Want to know a great way to release those inner feelings of yours?  Kickboxing.
